Delineation
ERC, Inc. performs wetland assessments in accordance with State and Federal guidelines, Chapter 62-340,
F.A.C. and Technical Report Y-87-1, Dept. of the Army, respectively. State agencies determining wetland jurisdiction include
the Water Management Districts and the Florida Department
of Environmental Protection. Federal wetland jurisdiction is usually determined by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, but may
in some instances be determined by the Natural Resource Conservation Service. As State and Federal methodologies differ, their
respective wetland limits may also vary. ERC, Inc. provides our professional assessment of agency jurisdiction and conducts
site inspections with regulatory staff for final verification. The specific level of assessment, whether professional, “informal”
JD, or “formal” JD, is determined by our client’s needs and budget. |
